Fastening of elements to a line

Indicator strips, tags, flags, etc. are mounted on a line. Each element (10) has a slot (14) through which a bight of the line (24) is passed and an integral tongue (16) is bent down to extend across the slot and behind the loop in the line to prevent its unwanted withdrawal through the slot. The loop retainer may be an element separate from the strip or sheet but performing the same slot-bridging function.
