<p>The elastic support assembly, is designed to hold overhead cables to posts. It is designed to move during the installation of the cable thereby reducing the force the cable has to bear during this operation. The assembly consists of two lateral flexible arms (4) and a rigid central arm (8). There are two support arms (10) which join the outer ends of the lateral arms to the centre arm and are free to move along the centre arm when the outer arms experience a force approaching the breaking force of the cable.</p> |
