PURPOSE:To obtain smooth braking force and accelerating force by making chopper control on electric current fed to the condensers which serve as condensing means in response to a stepping amount on a brake pedal, so as to restrict a rushing large quality of electric current when the braking energy of a vehicle is recovered as the electric energy. CONSTITUTION:The driving shaft 21 of a vehicle is rotated and driven through a transmission 2 by an engine 1 and an electric rotating machine 3 which becomes a motor/generator is connected to the transmission 2. This electric rotating machine 3 is controlled to be switched either to motor operation or generator operation in response to the operating condition of the vehicle by a control means 4. Also a condensing means consisting of a pair of condensers 61,62 is provided so that the generated power obtained from the electric rotating machine 3 during the generator operation may be stored, or the electric rotating machine 3 may be electrically driven a stored electric charge. The electric rotating machine 3 is set in its driving state by controlling a relay 72, so as to connect the condensers 61,62 in series to each other and set in a charging state by connecting the condensers 61,62 in series to each other. Also the relay 72 carries out chopper control, to restric electric current, and to surpres rapid deceleration and acceleration. |
