The aperture processing machine has rotary components (10) accommodating the potatoes in a number of positions (11) adjacent to a processing station. Means are provided (23, 24) for pressing, cutting and removal of the potatoes, and the mounting positions rotate in synchronism with the operation of the processing station. The pressing devices enclose the potatoes in the mountings, where the cutters form them into a rounded shape, after which they are discharged from the mountings. The rotary component can be in the form of a table on a vertical shaft, the mountings being formed by a series of square-section tube round the periphery, their axes being parallel to the axis of rotation of the table. |
