The garden swimming pool has a pool-side wall (1) and a solar heat collector (6) attached thereto, the wall and pool together having a T-shaped cross-section. A cover (5) for the solar heat collector is designed as a seating and lying surface and has two plates with vertical webs lying between them. A pool covering (10) folded in concertina fashion or a roll-on plastic film covering can be accommodated under the edge of the solar heat collector projecting in the direction of the inside of the pool. In this way, a garden swimming pool is obtained whose solar heat collector not only provides the desired heating of the water but also affords a comfortable position alongside the water and makes getting into the water easier. <IMAGE>
