PURPOSE:To offer an inkjet head at a low cost which is stable in discharging ink drops by providing a nozzle forming member connected to a box body and having at least one or more nozzle openings and, a pressure generating means for generating a pressure assuring flying as ink drops, wherein said box body and nozzle forming member is connected such that a tension is applied to said nozzle forming member. CONSTITUTION:When a selective electric signal is applied to a vibrator 24, a piezoelectric element shrinks by the piezoelectric effect, whereas a foil member which is high in rigidity is restricted to change its size. Accordingly, the vibrator is deformed and shifted to the eide of a nozzle plate 21, whereby a pressure is generated at a very small gap between the vibrator 24 and nozzle plate 21. Consequently, ink drops are discharged by the pressure. Since the nozzle plate 21 and a box member 20 which have been connected each other at a temperature lower than the operating temperature tend to restrict the deformation of the box body 20 and to spread out respectively at the operating temperature, a tension acts on the nozzle plate 21. As a result, the distortion of the nozzle plate 21 when it is a single component is absorbed by the tension, so that the nozzle plate becomes favorably flat. |
