The device is for the axial displacement of a rotatable shaft of a vacuum rotary arrangement, with a connecting flange through which the shaft projects. Two connections are provided which are connected to each other by a membrane bellows. One connection is dimensioned for vacuum-tight connection to the connecting flange of the rotary arrangement, and the other for a vacuum-tight connection with an installation connecting flange. The connections are linked to one of two guide parts which can displace axially relatively to each other, but are not rotatable. A threaded guide working with a threaded ring (60) adjusts the connections in relation to each other.
