Measuring low fluid flow rate - using turbine flowmeter with small number injection tubes directing flow onto blades

Low liquid flow is measured in a distribution circuit by a turbine flowmeter where the flow is directed by small number of injection tubes onto the turbine blades. A flowmeter(1) mounted in distribution pipe(10) comprises a blanking piece(2) with a number of small injection pipes(21) around periphery into which flow is directed by conical shape of blanking piece. These pipes open out onto turbine blades(32) to cause rotation of turbine which is sensed by a detector(5). The turbine axis(30) is supported in bearing blocks(7, 8) and the fluid flow exhausts via several outlets(41) around downstream block.
