The outlet of the carburettor (1) is flanged to a short section of suction pipe (3) which branches into two parts (4) at right angles to it. An attachment inserted into this short section consists of a tube (5) which projects into the tee of the branch. It ends in the tee with lateral openings having sharp edges (8) which break up fuel droplets passing them. At its upper end, the tube (5) contains a conical insert (6) perforated with a large number of fine holes (9). These also break up droplets of fuel flowing through them.
