<p>An installation in a corrugated container production line e.g. by which a change of format can be achieved instaneously, is positioned downstream to the double-faced-board section. It includes, one behind the other, a rotary transverse shear, two successive creasers and lengthways slitters, transverse cutting stations and receiving and stacking stations. The two creasers and slitters are offset vertically to each other, by a distance ensuring that the details of the one do not obstruct the line of passage of the other. Their vertical motions are co-ordinated in the same direction between two positions in which the lines of passage of each stations are alternately in the line of passage of the transverse shear. Arrangement eliminates the need to stop the run of the web of board whilst the newly adjusted tools are brought into position. Holdups of production are prevented, so that the board in the double-facing machine cannot be over-heated.</p> |
