WATER WEIGHT TYPE AUTOMATIC LEVEL ADJUSTING GATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize actuation of a gate by using a mechanism for opening the gate by means of a force exerted in the direction to pull a water weight; and reduce the weight of a counterweight by setting the direction of the weight of the water weight to be the same as the direction of application of the counterweight. SOLUTION: A water weight chamber 9 is provided on one side of the radial gate 1 and an upstream water chamber 10 communicating with the upstream side 2a of a channel and a downstream water chamber 11 communicating with the downstream side 2b of the channel at or above a set level of water are provided in the water weight chamber. An overflow conduit 12b is provided in the upstream water chamber 10 and the water weight 13 having a water chamber therein is provided in the downstream water chamber. A flexible inlet passage 13a is connected to the lower portion of the water weight at one end and to the overflow conduit at the other end, and a water weight arm 15 is extended to the opposite side to the arm 4 of the radial gate across a rotating shaft. Also, the rear end of the water weight arm is connected to the water weight rotating shaft 14 and the water weight is suspended from the front end of the water weight arm.
