METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING TIRE ON VULCANIZING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To enhance uniformity and to reduce the consumption of compressed air simply and certainly by engaging upper and lower bead parts with the bead rings of upper and lower molds simply and certainly by feeding an unvulcanized tire having a hole part whose axial direction is set to an almost vertical direction in a vulcanizing machine held to an open state and engaging the respective lower and upper bead parts with the bead rings of the lower and upper molds. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 11 is inserted in the hold part 10 of the tire 3 placed on a tire receiving stand 36 and slid in the outer diameter direction of the tire 3 to be brought into contact with upper and lower bead parts 7, 4. The upper and lower bead parts 7, 4 fall under the own wt. of the tire 3 while slide along the guide plate 11 and the upper bead part 1 is engaged with a push-in pawl 13 when a frame 15 rises and the tire 3 becomes a suspended holding state. The engaging mechanism 1 for the lower bead part is arranged on a lower mold 5 and the frame 15 is allowed to fall to lower not only the engaging mechanism 1 for the lower bead part but also the pawl 13 and the bead part 4 is pressed downwardly by a protruding part 13b. Whereupon, the bead part 4 is held to an out of roundness state by the guide plate 11 and engaged with a bead ring 6 in a state parallel to the bead ring 6.
