PURPOSE:To improve the productivity by continuous rolling and to reduce the equipment cost such as buildings, etc., by collecting facilities by installing a continuous rolling mill solidifying molten steel and manufacturing rolled stocks, a hot rolling mill, and a winding devices in one building or in adjacent buildings. CONSTITUTION:A continuous rolling facility consists of a continuous casting device 1, hot rolling mill 2, cold rolling mill 3, and coil winding device 4 can those devices are installed in a building 5. Molten steel teemed from a ladle of the casting device 1 to a tundish is formed into a bullet sheet 10 by a mold and is introduced into a hot rolling room 7 by pinch rolls. The room 7 has an air pressure higher than that in a continuous casting room 6, so that no air flow into the room 7 exists. A cold rolling room 8 has an air pressure somewhat higher than that in the room 7 and no air flow into the room 8 exists. The hot rolling mill 2 and coil rolling mill 3 are in the one building 5 and both the mills 2, 3 are directly connected to continue stages. |
