The security device which neutralizes the windscreen wiper coupled to a drive shaft (1) by a coupling head (20) at the end of its arm (2) comprises a cage (3) freely rotating around the shaft. The cage encloses the coupling end and the arm head which is connected by an operating means contained inside the cage. The operating means can be moved between a locking position where the arm head is engaged with the shaft coupling end and an unlocked position where the head is released from the shaft coupling.
