<p>The force transducer is for measuring forces engendered between the rollers of a laminating mill. The transducers comprise a two part annular structure. The lower half consists of a rigid circular groove presenting a pair of circular shoulders (14) which forms tracks for ball bearings (8). The bearings support the upper circular part (3) which is fabricated from a resilient material. From the under side of the resilient upper part, guides (6) are suspended in the annular cavity defined by the lower part. Between these guides a flexible elongate member (7) is trained in zig-zag fashion so as to extend radially around the structure.</p> |
