The game of chance is operated by means of tubes which are illuminated successively to give the illusion of a moving spot of light. The tubes are electronically operated, each having a suitable motif or number. Pressing a pushbutton charges a capacitor through a resistance for a variable time; releasing the button discharges the capacitor through a second resistance. An oscillator frequency is proportional to the voltage and this energises a counter which lights the tubes. The speed of the light spot appears to increase rapidly to a maximum and then decreases to stop on any position at random.
|
