<p>In sports halls and other buildings with special flooring needs, the process is for laying panels or strips of composite rubber waste materials as a floor covering. A base is formed for the top tread layers and provides good heat and sound insulation, with a degree of elasticity. Ready-coated panels or strip lengths (4) are joined together by interlocking serrations on their edges (2, 3) which may be protrusions and indentations, or dovetail-shaped, round, banana-shaped or rectangular. The panels or strips may be provided with a wear-resistant coating. Flooring can be laid quickly and at low cost, largely regardless of weather conditions and temperature.</p> |
