发明名称 High efficiency cooling nozzles using air-water mist - for cooling hot rolled steel strip prior to coiling
摘要 <p>Flat metal strip is cooled after hot rolling by a row of cooling nozzles adjusting the strip temp. prior to coiling. The novelty is that between the rolling mill and the coilers are several high efficiency nozzles (A) made from a central pipe forming a Laval nozzle with neck dia. 0.7-2 mm and fed with compressed air. Water is fed through side pipes, max. dia. 3.5 mm, and into the central pipe towards the end of its divergent zone. The water pipes can be inclined in the direction of flow but the distance between nozzles (A) and the strip subjected to the air-water mist must not exceed 10 cm. Nozzles (A) pref. follow an existing row of nozzles (B), and the temp. (T1) of the strip is measured between nozzles (B,A) and used to adjust nozzles (B), so the measured strip outlet temp. (T2), after nozzles (A), is the correct coiling temp. The process is used esp. with steel strip, to attain an exact coiling temp.</p>
