PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet stacking device capable of aligning and stacking delivered sheets even if a sheet conveying speed is accelerated and a sheet size is diversified. SOLUTION: When a plurality of recording sheets are delivered to a delivery tray 47 through a delivery roller 46, the recording sheets are stacked on the delivery tray 47, and the weight of each recording sheet is applied to a central tray member 61, and the central tray member 61 sinks down resisting an elastic force of each of coil springs 64 by the weight of the recording sheets. Even if the number of recording sheet is increased and the stack height of the recording sheets is increased, since the amount of the sinking of the central tray member 61 in a direction opposite to the height direction is increased, a distance from the delivery position of the delivery roller 46 to a top layer on the central tray member 61 is hardly changed, and the recording sheets are always fallen to the delivery tray 47 under the same condition, and the mutual displacement of the recording sheets which are delivered to the delivery tray 47 can be restricted.
