<p>The body has two longitudinal panels (2, 2a) and two transverse ones (3, 3a). These are rigidly joined together and to the chassis or floor. Above these, and hinged, are more longitudinal panels (5, 5a) and also transverse ones (6, 6a). Attached to them are balancing arms (7). The transverse panels are joined to a roof panel (8) by rollers or similar guides (9) running in guide rails (10). As the transverse panels swing down, the rollers move in the guide rails until they meet the fixed panels. The folding panels can be locked in position with screws. To fold, first the longitudinal panels (5, 5a) are folded flat, then the lateral one (6, 6a), with the roof.</p> |
