The extending sun visor for the inside of the car has a flexible visor (6) rolled over a spring roller (5) inside the roof space. The bottom edge of the visor is attached to a bar (7) guided on lateral supports on each side of the windscreen. Lateral supports comprise spring steel strips guided over friction pads inside the edges of the roof space. The large area visor occupies a compact space and does not interfere with a sliding roof panel.
