<p>The drive mechanism is for horizontal sliding windows in motor vehicles. Each panel has a guide accommodating a driving member mounted at the side of an endless belt or chain (13, 14) running over pulleys (18-24) in a plane compatible with that in which the panels slide. One of the pulleys is rotated by an actuator. The guides accommodating the driving members can be fixed to components equipped with rollers working in a further horizontal guide for the panels. Sprockets can be used instead of pulleys, engaging positively with an endless chain and driven by a hand crank.</p> |
