The central heating radiator has a heating panel which emits heat partly by radiation and partly by convection. It has parallel water channels (8) running vertically along it, the channels being formed within the thickness of the panel or behind it. A corrugated sheet (22) behind the panel forms vertical air passages at the back of the panel which increase the convective heat output. It is welded to the panel along the strips between the corrugations. The corrugations are formed as trapezoidal sections so that the gap (S) between adjacent sections at the edge distant from the panel is smaller than the gap between them on the panel.
