The plug connector has a stop to restrict the axial movement when engaged. It can be fitted to all types of electrical cables and instruments. The plug pin (1) can have a single or multiple slit, which contains a thin pointed spindle. It causes the pin to bulge when inserted in the socket hole and wedge against the wall of the hole. The frictional force thus created will be sufficient for the length of travel of the pin. There is a variation whereby a threaded bolt (4) is screwed through the back of the plug to compress a stack of leaf springs (5) and will produce the bulge in the pin when engaged. In another variation, a key bolt is screwed in through the side at right angles to the axis to produce the bulge in the pin.
