<p>The environmental pollution by the exhaust gases of gas turbines, used in power stations, can be eliminated and the heat consumption for the pig iron production in blast furnaces can be reduced. The ore and burden can be preheated before charging into a blast furnace either separately or jointly by the exhaust gases direct, in which case they can be heated to >200 degrees C pref. 450 degrees C. If the exhaust which has a high O2 content is used as the primary air for a combustion process, the temperature would be higher.</p> |
