A compound of the general formula wherein R1 is lower alkyl, R2 is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, lower alkenyl and lower alkynyl, A is a formula which is selected from the formula consisting of:(1) where R3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl, R4 is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl and phenyl, and R3 forms cyclo-alkylene of 4 to 5 carbon atoms by combining with R4:(2) where R3 and R7 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl and R6 is lower alkyl; and(3) where R8 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl and R9 is lower alkyl; or a metal salt of the compound defined herein above is useful as herbicide.
