Warming cabinet for paraffin wax packs - with perforated vertical partitions at ends of grid decks for packs

A warming cabinet for paraffin wax packs has to keep a temperature accurate to within one-tenth of one degree Centigrade if the patient is to receive the maximum benefit over the longest time for a pack application. This has been achieved by providing vertical perforated partitions at both ends of the decks of grids on which the paraffin wax packs in their trays are supported. The rows of perforations lie halfway between the decks so that the air which enters at a pressure passes the packs with a slight turbulence. This reaches all uneven spots on both surfaces of the packs and ensures a uniform temp. A thermostat controls the temperature. The clearance between decks is made twice the height of a tray. The preferred diameter of the perforations in the partitions is 10 mm.
