Reinforced plastic panel for solar collectors - with parallel sheets sepd. by honeycomb spacers

New reinforced plastic panels for use as cover plates, e.g. of solar heat collectors, combine a high structural rigidity with a low weight, and low mfg costs. The panel consists of two thin parallel plastic sheets which are sepd by spacers, pref. of a honeycomb extrusion or of parallel sheets separated by alternately inclined webs. The spacers have a pref. width of 1-2 cm, a height of 1-3 cm, and are arranged parallel to each other at a spacing of 10-100 cm.
