PURPOSE:To preclude blurring and perform variable magnification without requiring any complex mechanism by moving a 2nd lens group at the time of the variable magnification so that defocusing to a rear focus is caused and then moving the lens group into a front focus state repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of lens position information on a 1st V lens group 2 which moves along the optical axis to perform a variable magnification operation and a 2nd RR lens group 4 which performs correcting and focusing operation in the variable magnification operation are transmitted to a CPU 130 through a zoom encoder read circuit 134 and a stepping motor driving pulse counting circuit 136. When zooming in the W to the T direction of a zoom switch is performed according to the pieces of lens position information, contents read out of a data memories 131-133, and blur information read in from AF135, the CPU 120 moves the RR lens group 4 so as to be blurred in the rear-focus direction and then moves it so as to be blurred in the front-focus direction, and this operation is repeated until at least focusing is detected to vary the magnification without causing large blurring. |
