Vibratory sensor system for strong-room - has glass sheets with detectors lining walls and sensing vibrations which actuate alarm

The strong room has at least one reinforced burglar-resistant wall(1) which is associated with a complementary brittle panel(1a). The panel(1a) may be substantially more sensitive to vibrations than the wall(1), which is pref. of glass and may act with detectors(6), which effect the alarm in the presence of vibration. Sheets of glass(1a, 2a), acting in this fashion, may be installed behind all the walls(1, 2) of the strong room and be in the planes of, and cover the walls in their entirity. A similar panel(3a) may be provided beneath the roof slab(3), and also(8a) beneath a false floor(11). A nominal cavity may be provided between the panels(1a) and the walls (1). The detectors(6, 62, 63, 9) may have a high sensitivity to detect vibration of a glass panel(1a) and be coupled to an alarm system.
