The distributor comprises a reservoir (1) which is mounted on adjustable legs enabling it to be set up horizontally in a field. The reservoir has a conical shaped cover (6) with a central cylindrical walled opening (13) through which the reservoir is filled. The cover includes a central cylindrical walled opening (12) with a base for indicating the liquid leve. Cylinders (11) depending from the cover and inclined to the vertical each contain a sphere (8) floating in the liquid. A large washer in the top retains the sphere and the cylinder walls are tapered inwardly at the bottom to retain the sphere.
