Window or french door blind frame claddings are designed to serve multiple purposes at low cost, as well as providing weather protection. For this purpose the roller shutter case affords protective cladding for the upper frame piece, and the shutter rails for the side frame pieces, and a rain bar carried down as far as the outside window ledge, protects the lower frame piece. The shutter case, sited outside in front of the blind frame, can be fitted with a rendering support on the outside of its external apron, projecting laterally and upwards.
