PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctioning of a blast furnace due to shortage of air flow, by predicting the change in resistance to air flow during operative and non-operative condition of the furnace, supplying sintered ore or the like, excellent in its resistivity to reduction pulverization, into the furnace before stopping supply of air, and effecting preparatory ore reduction on the basis of the above prediction. |
