The ski boot comprises a toe and heal shell of hard plastics with side ankle support plates (12) moulded onto them. A separately manufactured ankle support (22) clips around the support plates and is connected at the bottom to the heel. A detachable positioning mechanism (26) is mounted between at least one of the ankle support plates and the adjoining area of the ankle sleeve (22) and is formed by at least one recess (32, 34, 36) on one (12) of the two parts and a positioning bolt fastened to the other part and designed to engage in the recess. The position of the shin in the boot is thus restricted.
