<p>1528449 Method of making coffins C HEWKIN 3 Oct 1975 [4 July 1974] 29600/74 Heading A5X A coffin is constructed by assembling a peripheral frame from moulded end and side components of constant cross section, severing the assembly below the top edge to remove the hatched portion 8 and inverting the flange thus formed so that the cut upper edge of the remainder of the assembly engages in the rebate 4. The coffin is completed by top and base panels. During severing a temporary stiffening panel is located on shoulders 7 of the side components. The components may be moulded from plastics or melamine covered chip board.</p> |
