<p>1528281 Adjustable catches YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 29 Jan 1976 [5 Feb 1975 23 April 1975] 03494/76 Heading E2A A catch assembly for use with, for example, sash windows comprises a rotatably mounted cam 14 on one side 13 and a keeper 16 mounted on the other stile 12. The keeper 16 has a body portion with an elongated hole 37 through which screw 38 passes to mount it, and a detent portion 25 with which the cam 14 engages to move the stiles together. The elongated hole 37 permits the position of the keeper to be adjusted. Those embodiments are shown differing in the manner in which the position of the keeper is fixed. In the first, Fig. 1, teeth 26, 27 on the edge of the keeper body engage ends 33, 34 of ribs 30 on the stile. In the second, Fig. 6, an isolated rib 47 on the stile fits into one of the apertures 40 in the keeper body, in the third Fig. 8, a rib 48 is formed on the body and engages in one of the apertures 49 in the stile.</p> |
