<p>A sprinkler for use in a fire extinguishing sprinkler system has a body with a fluid delivery passageway, arms on the body form a frame outwardly of the fluid passageway, a closure normally closes said fluid passageway and is held by an assembly of a strut element and a curved L-shaped element positioned between the joined arms and the closure, one of said elements having a pair of spaced oppositely disposed arms and longitudinally disposed fusible material retaining device positioned between said arms in detachable engagement therewith, the other one of the elements having a section normally positioned between said arms and engaged on said device. This invention is distinguishable from others by reason of the arrangement of the strut and lever and the fusible material retaining means holding the same in engagement until a fusing temperature is reached.</p> |
