<p>The electric power generation equipment comprises a housing protruding at the top above max water level, while at the bottom it is below the lowest water level, power generation units being mounted at the bottom. Each of these units comprises a turbine shaft (4) rotating in the open underside of the guide housing and equipped with blades. The turbine shafts end in gearboxes transmitting the rotary movement. The guide housing can form part of the main concrete housing (1), whose underside is shaped to use the water flow to max efficiency. There can be four blades on the turbine shaft, those on one half of the shaft being offset 45 deg. from those on the other.</p> |
