PURPOSE:To simplify an operation for setting a two-color multiple copying mode and to reduce two-color multiple copying output caused by a mistake in setting by automatically selecting a developing unit having a color correspond ing to the characteristic of a color filter for color separation. CONSTITUTION:A filter switching means 31 switches and positions each color filter 4c on the optical axis of a photosensor 4b in accordance with the informa tion on separated color inputted for specification. The positioned color filter 4c is compared with the respective developed colors of the plural developing units 10a-10c recognized by a developed color recognition means CONT and a developing unit selection means CONT selects the desired developing unit from the plural developing units 10a-10c. Then, a driving control mans CONT controls the driving timing for erasing means 9a-9c, the developing units 10a-10c and the filter switching means 31 is controlled based on a reflectance distributed state on an original surface recognized by the photosensor 4b. Thus, the opera tion for setting the two-color multiple copying mode is simplified and the two- color multiple copying output caused by the mistake in setting is reduced. |
