<p>A door closure device has an element which moves longitudinally in a hollow housing containing a spring acting on a stop attached to the element to push it inside the housing. On the end which protrudes from the housing the element has a hinged coupling with a fixing plate. The element itself consists of a rod bearing a piston which slides inside a chamber filled with fluid in the housing, this chamber being divided into two compartments between which the fluid is able to move freely when the piston moves in the opening direction of the door. When the piston moves in the closing direction, the fluid is prevented from moving freely, thus restricting the speed at which the rod can travel under the action of the spring.</p> |
