The formwork for making of concrete wave breakers has H shape made with two arms and a connection web. This shape has arms of octagonal cross section and the outside arm becomes narrower towards the end. The removable formwork elements can be removed at such a sufficiently large angle that the formwork can be removed early in the production process. The negative mould has upstanding and lying arms. The formwork basic frame (11) has a plan view T shaped columns (13) forming horizontal lower support surface (5) and its downward arm (6). The vertical octagonal surfaces (7) and their side corners and the closing surfaces (9, 10) are formed each by a second or third mirror image, detachable formwork elements (15, 16). The vertical octagonal surface (26) is formed by a fourth detachable element (27).
