PURPOSE:To impart not only aesthetic effect, but also soft feeling to hand touch, insulative property and sound absorbing property by mixing rice hulls in a compound of vinyl chloride resin and heating and pressuring the same by a calendar roll. CONSTITUTION:Rice hulls are mixed in a compound of vinyl chloride resin, thereby obtaining a sheet kneaded-in with the rice hulls. The compound of vinyl chloride resin into which the rice hulls are mixed-in is mainly composed of vinyl chloride resin and includes the other additives such as a plasticizer, a stabilizer, a filler. The mixed substance is heated approximately to 130-200 deg.C with pressure by a calendar roll and turned into gel state. The mixed substance is continuously manufactured into a sheet having the thickness 0.3mm-1.0mm. Accordingly, not only the insulative property, sound absorbing property and soft feeling to hand touch peculiar to the rice hulls are added to the sheet, but also the decorative aesthetic feature can be imparted to the sheet by mixing-in the rice hulls, so that a floor material or wall material made of the resulting sheet can be made more beautiful when the title material is employed. |
