<p>The diving bell has a ballast (70) which is suspended from it. A cable (67) lets the ballast drop underneath the diving bell. Hoists mounted on top of the protective cage let down the ballast from the diving bell. An auxiliary tank can be filled with water, or emptied and filled with compressed gas so as to make into a float. The tank is preferably situated above the diving bell, and is attached ot the protective cage.</p> |
