Micro-dispensing valve - using capillary closed by inverted cone with adjustment reactive to outer bell mouth

A microdispensing valve for use in chromatography and mass spectrometry consists of a capillary which is closed at one end by an inverted cone. The gas leaves the capillary through a cut-out upstream of the cone and enters the gap formed between the cone and a conical extension at the mouth of a steel tube. This valve can be added subsequently in thin pipe lines and can be coupled to glass capillaries. It can withstand temps of >400 degrees C and is easy to clean. Flow rates of 15ml/min can be set by it at a differential pressure of 1 bar with gases and fluids of widely varying viscosities.
