Process for texturising continuous filaments uses a pressurised fluid jet to form a turbulent zone, followed by a heat treatment as described in the parent patent. In this addn., the yarn fed to the turbulent zone has been previously texturised by false-twisting. The false-twist process and the treatment in the turbulent zone are carried out together as continuous processes. The combination of the processes described provides a yarn of improved handle, and the shrinkage potential is reduced, as also is the torque effect. The yarns are easy to unwind.
