The control, for a machine tool (eg a press) has two inductive windings (10, 11) to send control signals to the machine. Each winding is shunted by an overvoltage arrester (12, 13) and connected via a transistor switch (14, 15) to one supply pole. The two circuits so-formed are supplied from separate dc supplies (EA, EB). Separating the supplies in this way prevents the failure of one arrester affecting the winding in the other circuit. |
