<p>The invention relates to a machine for inserting seed and fertilizer into the ground. The machine comprises a frame, a storage tank, and a plurality of hoeing shares supported by the frame when the machine is in operation. The hoeing shares are adapted to move individually, in a vertical plane, by means of holding devices, and the shares are arranged in at least three rows spaced one behind the other. The hoeing shares are further provided with laterally spaced cutting surfaces which converge forwardly and form an acute angle of attack in relation to the surface of the ground, as seen in the operating direction. Seed and fertilizer is fed to the said hoeing shares, from the relevant storage tank, in adjustable quantities, by a metering mechanism and through pipelines. The attachment parts on the frame, for the holding devices, have a large ground clearance. In accordance with the invention, the holding devices for the hoeing shares each comprise a parallel guide in a vertical plane, so that the acute angle of attack of the cutting surfaces of the hoeing shares, in relation to the surface of the ground, remains unchanged when the shares are moved in a vertical plane, the shares being also equipped with guide elements maintaining their depth in the ground.</p> |
