HETEROPOLYANION COMPOUNDS* METHOD OF MAKING SAME AND ANTIVIRUS CONSISTING OF SAME AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT

The heteropolyanion compounds of formulae II and VI, as well as those of formula III whose symbols M and M' are defined in Claim 8, are therapeutically useful by virtue of their antiviral activity. The compounds of formulae II and VI are obtained by adding a solution containing the Sb(III) ion to a solution of ammonium or potassium tungstate, and by collecting the precipitate. The compounds of formula III are obtained by treating the compound of formula II with an aqueous solution containing an alkali metal ion or alkaline-earth metal ion other than sodium.
