<p>The mechanism to register and follow the outlines of a template has control systems to trace the outline of the template and trace its contours. The registering system brings the feeler into contact with the template, with movement control, and monitoring to determine the movement of the feeler. The monitoring mechanism controls the movement system so that the feeler is moved across the line which the feeler follows in the relative motion between the feeler and the outline of the template. The system does not use magnetism to hold the feeler against the template, so the construction of the template can be simplified by using a plastic or similar cheap material.</p> |
