<p>The noise-damping component comprises a U-section plastic dish and a damping plate with a noise-permeable cover on the side towards the noise source, and secured on both sides by a profiled strip with a groove fitting over the dish edge. The strip is of plastic, and holds the cover onto the plate, being glued and/or riveted to the dish. Transverse strips can be fitted between the main ones for stiffening purposes, their ends being glued and/or riveted to them. The main strips can be of U-section, the U-section groove to fit over the dish edge being formed in one of its flanges.</p> |
